Advanced research communication skills summer institute 2016
In an increasingly mediated world, it is vital that researchers take command of their own media presence, whether that is through regular contact with media organisation representatives, through their own self-controlled social media identities campaigns, or through various modes of dialogue in schools, science centres, public spaces or with policymakers and industry.
| 3U INNOVEDIATE is an advanced summer programme that provides PhD students and postdoctoral researchers with skills and techniques to enable them to negotiate this media-intense world and to become effective communicators of their research and interests.
Register/Pre-Programme Preparation: Participants are required to prepare a lay or popular summary (300 words) of their research work in a style that a friend or family member with no connection to scientific research can understand. Participants will be asked to choose one visual aid to help explain the idea. Please email to info@3upartnership.ie |
3U INNOVEDIATE takes place primarily in Maynooth University, but with activities and events taking place in RCSI and in DCU.
Participants of 3U INNOVEDIATE will be able to avail of Maynooth University’s on campus accommodation – click here.
